Common features of Six Sigma projects include reducing the
variability of cycle times and assuring input materials integrity
by creation of more mature processes.
Accurate cycle-time data has been difficult or expensive
to obtain, but now with RFID technology, accurate and timely
service level conformance data is readily available. In addition
it is imperative to avoid introduction of improper (expired
or rejected) materials into production processes.

monitoring and measurement of cycle times, input negotiated
vendor commitments, and create periodic or ad-hoc reports
showing the planned and achieved timing distributions, suitable
