Management Team
InSync Software has a well-rounded management team that has led several successful start-ups in the past 12 years. The team brings world-class expertise in engineering, product development, business development, finance, sales and marketing, and systems integration, in the areas of enterprise software, Internet technologies, semiconductor and electronics manufacturing (high-tech industry) and healthcare.
Ashish Chona, CEO and Co-founder
Ashish Chona is the CEO and co-founder of InSync Software. Prior to co-founding InSync, Ashish was a member of the senior management team at Asyst Technologies, a leading provider of automated material handing systems and Auto-ID systems (RFID, IR & Bar code) for the semiconductor and electronics industries. He was responsible for global software marketing and sales at Asyst. Prior to Asyst, he was the co-founder and Vice-President of Sales & Marketing at Radiance Systems, a provider of factory automation software products and services. Radiance was acquired by Asyst Technologies (NASDAQ: ASYT) in 1996. Prior to Radiance, Ashish held senior technical positions at Honeywell and Ultratech Stepper.
Ashish has an M.S. in Robotics & Control Systems from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay.
Ravi Panja, CTO and Co-founder
Prior to co-founding InSync Software, Ravi was part of the senior management for Asyst Technologies, a company that specializes in automated material handing systems and a leader in Auto-ID systems using RFID, IR, and barcode-based technologies driving product development and worldwide systems integration. Prior to Asyst, Ravi was one of the founding members of Radiance Systems and was responsible for product development and worldwide software integration solutions. Ravi has experience in product strategy and management, Auto-ID technologies, developing web-enabled software architectures, mission-critical enterprise software systems utilizing object-oriented technologies, workflow systems, and business process modeling. Ravi also had several positions at National Semiconductor in their Santa Clara and Scotland manufacturing facilities.
Ravi has an M.S in Engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a B.S. from Osmania University in India.
Yashpaul Dogra, Vice President of Product Marketing and Strategy
Yashpaul joins InSync with senior management experience in Operations, Applications, and Supply Chain Management in the healthcare, aerospace, and high technology industry verticals. He started his career with GE where he gained a solid foundation in operations and supply chain. At GE, he held significant leadership positions including the management of Global Sourcing Operations, a group responsible for a $2.4B supply chain. Subsequent to receiving his MBA from University of Chicago GSB, he joined Oracle to manage Procurement and Exchange products where he grew the software business to over $30M. He was given an opportunity to join Cisco with responsibility for supply chain strategy. He showcased the use of the Internet and standards-based technology to coordinate a highly outsourced supply chain. His most recent positions were with Siemens where he had overall responsibility of a global Hospital Management software and solutions business.
Yashpaul has a B.S in Mechanical Engineering from University of Florida, and an MBA in Finance, International Business, and Strategy from the University of Chicago GSB.
Leif Chastaine, Vice President of Solutions Marketing
Leif Chastaine currently serves as Vice President of Solutions Marketing for InSync Software, Inc.. Leif has over 15 years experience including seven years in senior product management, marketing, sales, and business development roles with several eBusiness and BPM software companies. Prior to moving into the world of software, Leif successfully led several system deployment projects including product scheduling, master scheduling, and distribution optimization systems at Ore-Ida Foods (a wholly owned subsidiary of HJ Heinz ) and also served as an aerial navigator in the USMC. Leif holds a B.B.A. in Production and Operations Management with honors from Boise State University.
Tim Short, Vice President of Sales
Mr. Short comes to InSync Software with over 25 years of sales and business development expertise and has a proven track record of helping early stage organizations develop sales teams supported by processes and methodologies that lead to profitable and sustainable revenue growth. While at Human Code and R4 Global Solutions he was a key contributor in landing cornerstone customers that validated the sales model and resulted in successful acquisitions by Sapient and VeriSign respectively. During his six year tenure at ADP, culminating as the Western Regional Sales Director, he led his team to eight consecutive quarters of double digit growth and was recognized as a key organizational contributor every year.
The management team leverages the support of the Board of Directors and an Advisory Board comprised of industry experts in sales and marketing, supply chain, and e-Business technologies.
