InSync Edgeware™ products enable enterprises to combine RFID based product sensing with dynamic context specific information about globally distributed assets. Enterprises can deploy InSync Site Managers wherever there is a need to obtain dynamic product – within the enterprise or anywhere in the value chain – and track products at the item level to answer key questions about the asset at any time. Customers looking to obtain value beyond “mandate compliance” can generate substantial ROI on their current business operations. Through a combination of InSync Edgeware™ and the InSync RFID Blue™ program, Enterprises can not only prepare their businesses to be compliant with looming mandates, but can do so with the knowledge that it will deliver significant ROI.

RFID tag data from serial-numbered assets is acquired and processed by RFID Site Managers and forwarded to the RFID Tracking Server. A variety of Edge Applications enabling intermediate business processes can be configured in the Edge Applications Portal, providing screens, metrics, and alerts for handling near real time item-level data. An optional eBusiness server can provide standards-based (RosettaNet, EDI, or AS2) messaging to trading partners. The RFID Tracking Server, Edge Applications, and/or eBusiness Server can generate data-mapped messages to enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, optionally through an Enterprise Application Integration system, such as a message bus.
